M-TAC has developed a new, improved concept for a soldier’s personal protection system — the M-TAC Gorget ELITE GEN.II. This product is a compact, detachable module designed to provide full 360° fragmentation protection for the neck and upper back of military personnel. The key feature of this generation, compared to the previous version, is its upgraded design. The collar shape has been modified, making it more comfortable to operate weapons in the prone position. Additional back protection is provided by an extended rear section, and the reshaped shoulder part allows the gorget to be used together with the M-TAC Ergonomic Shoulder Protection (pair) — all without restricting movement during high-intensity physical activity. The ELITE GEN.II Gorget consists of two components fastened with Velcro. The front section protects the front of the neck, while the shoulder section covers the shoulders, trapezius muscles, and rear of the neck. The neck section attaches to the MOLLE interface of the front panel on the CUIRASS QRS and CUIRASS ELITE plate carriers. The rear part is secured to the shoulder area of the plate carrier using straps with sewn-on Velcro. The module is engineered to provide continuous ballistic coverage from the top edge of the front plate to the rear plate, also covering the sides of the shoulder straps. Significant design effort went into giving the collar an ergonomic shape for comfortable use. This design integrates seamlessly with other gear and allows free head movement — even when wearing a helmet. Special attention was given to its anatomical shape and lightweight construction. This ensures that the gorget maintains the overall mobility and ergonomic efficiency of the full loadout. If needed, the shoulder section can be used separately. The neck protection can be folded and secured at the front of the plate carrier. For more convenient weapon handling, the front element can be removed — though it will no longer protect the front of the neck in that case. The module is made from Cordura 500D — an ultra-durable fabric resistant to abrasion and high loads. The inner side of the shoulder section features a damping mesh that reduces pressure and improves ventilation.
